The first part of any project is the purchase and division of
land into separate building plots through the construction of roads,
pavements, common and park areas with provisions for electricity,
telephone and water installations.
Land is always in short supply in Cyprus, and is even more so now
because of the new strict planning and building regulations. Now due
to a brisk tourist trade, accession to the E.U., the large influx of
foreign nationals (mostly European) together with the traditional
demand by Cypriots for new plots, houses and apartments has created
a demand that is pushing the cost of land ever higher. We expect
this trend to continue since Cyprus has now joined the E.U.
